I took Ielts for 5 times in my life☺ First time I could get the required average 6 when I was a student, then many years after I needed 6+ for all parts and managed to get the aimed band after two attempts. And then recently when I needed to obtain minimum 7 on each part of the test I decided I could prepare by myself. My weakest point was always writing. It was 5.5, it was 6, but never higher. So, after spending some time on preparation using the standard preparation materials provided by the test centre, I took the test and ended up with band 6 for my writing again. Although in my those times humble opinion my essay was worth 7 😆

So I understood that I needed an expert who would explain to me what I was doing wrong and how to do it better.

And that expert for me was Yelena who I met absolutely by chance in Instagram)

Before starting any class with me Yelena has deliberately analysed my level of English proficiency. She requested not only to pass some tests, but also to provide her with my essays and audio records of speaking. Shortly after receiving all of that Yelena has given me me a feedback where she pointed out the areas for my development.

I had one month to prepare. Yelena and I have managed to arrange 5 lessons during that period. I enjoyed our classes very much. They were always well organised with a cleary defined plan. I have had only one online meeting in a week with Yelena, however during the week she was always available in the chat to answer my questions and give a feedback on my tasks.

We have worked on all parts of the test but we have particularly focused on improving my writing. The way of teaching and selection of material was kind of customised to suit my needs and abilities. After 1 month preperation I have managed to achieve my dream band 7 on writing😎 my reading was even marked an unbelievable 9😃. To a great extent I owe this results to Yelena and her approach in teaching. I also liked the contemporary tools we used during the lessons. The ZOOM platform works so well for taking classes.
